Founder
Matty Monheit,a graduate of Yeshiva
University and Carnegie-Mellon University has thirty years experience
in management consulting, methodology development and training, and
in systems implementation. He drew upon his understanding of the
complexity of business processes and their similarity to the Talmudic
discourse to create a structured methodology for learning which became
Gemara Berura in 1998.
Senior Consultant and Director of North American Operations
Meir Fachler
is a graduate of yeshivas ITRI and Netsach Yisroel, Jews College London
(BA Hons.),University of London Institute of Education (PGCE) and has a
Masters degree in Jewish Education from the Hebrew University. He is an
internationally acclaimed expert and pioneer in the field of Jewish
educational technology and Curriculum Development, and has held senior
positions in Israel and the UK. He co-founded JeMM Productions and
GesherTech, and directed the First International Jewish Education Technology
Conference.
Director of Content Development and Training
Rabbi Zalman Salmander,
graduate of Yeshivat Meretz, Rabbi of the school in Psagot. Served as a community
Rabbi in Sweden and in Israel taught Gemara in the Noam Jerusalem school, and in
the school in Shiloh. HaRav Salamander works on the development of Gemara Berura's
databases. He also visits schools all over Israel to train teachers how to use
the Gemara Berura methodology in their classrooms.
Director of Technology
Ephraim Berkovitch
is a Java certified programmer (Sun), Java certified developer (Sun),
Microsoft certified professional (MS), and Senior Lecturer at Sivan.
He has developed projects in c++, Delphi and Java. Ephraim is leads
the programming team and continues to develop Gemara Berura's technological
innovations, improvements and updates.
Graphic Design
Neri Levy, graduate of the Hesder Yeshiva
HaKotel in Jerusalem and graduate of Bezalel Arts College in Visual Communications,
was part of the initial think-tank for Matty's vision. Neri is responsible for all
Gemara Berura's graphics.
Methodology Consultants
HaRav Sinai Levy, graduate of the Yeshiva
Shvut Yisrael in Efrat, studies in the Eretz Chemdah Dayanut College in Jerusalem.
Sinai was one of first people to share Matty's vision and help translate it into
a learning methodology.
HaRav Chaim Bloch, graduate of Yeshivat Ohr
Etzion and the Psagot Kollel, taught in Petach Tikva Hesder Yeshiva and works for
the "Mishpatai Eretz" institute in Ofra. HaRav Bloch helps with the development
of content for the Gemara Berura repositories.
